Pharmacy-Based Immunization Administration by Pharmacy Technicians Hosted by Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences


Pharmacy-Based Immunization Administration by Pharmacy Technicians training program explores the expanding role of the pharmacy technician by providing additional skills training to administer immunizations. This training will require 6 hours of participation.


The training is broken out into three parts. All three parts must be completed to receive the certificate of completion.

1. Complete the 2-hour home study modules prior to attending the live activity.

2. Attend the live activity during American Association of Pharmacy Technicians (AAPT) 2025 Annual National Convention  hosted by CU Pharmacy faculty that specialize in immunizations. The live training will be held Thursday afternoon June 5th 2025 from 2PM - 5PM at the Skaggs School of Pharmacy building on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus.

3.Submit the post live activity form and take final exam online.

Obtain Continuing Pharmacy Education (CPE) Credit

To obtain credit for this learning activity, you must successfully complete the activity and have a current APhA account. Your transcript of CPE will be on your CPE Monitor account within 24-hours of successful activity completion. If you are licensed in Florida, your CPE will be filed with CE Broker. 


A current APhA account which includes

  • NABP e-Profile ID and PIN
  • Florida Pharmacist / Pharmacist Technician license number (only applicable to Florida Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians)
  • Access your APhA My Account to verify the above information.  

Completion of this activity includes

  • Activity completed in full
  • Completed assessment with a score of 70% or greater
  • Completed course evaluation
