Program Overview
The Clinical Teaching Certificate Program provides an opportunity to enhance teaching skills through practical training and actual hands on teaching experience both in the university setting as well as the clinical practice setting. A focus will be placed on both classroom and clinical practice teaching/precepting. Participants of the program will gain the skills needed to design and implement educational programs within the clinical practice environment, as well as gain adequate exposure to consider if a career in academia is desired. The Clinical Teaching Certificate is awarded to participants that successfully complete the program requirements.

Time Commitment and Requirements:
The Clinical Teaching Certificate Program will consist of the following components:
Monthly Workshops - Attendance at the first workshop on September 7th, 2022 is mandatory. Thereafter, attendance at 4 of the 5 remaining workshops is required (i.e. a total attendance requirement of 5 of 6 workshops, including the first one on Sept. 7th, 2022).

Elective Module Sessions:

Enrollment in Clinical Teaching Certificate Program: Enrollment in the program will be open until the first workshop on September 7, 2022. Participants will be contacted by the Program Directors prior to the start of the program with details for accessing the learning management system (Canvas).
The University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This activity is accredited as a certificate program and provides 30.0 contact hours of practice-based continuing pharmacy education (20.0 hours home-study, 10.0 hours live).
Participants must complete all components listed above, and CLAIM credit for each component to receive the Certificate of Achievement for this program.
This educational public service program (CPE component) offers Continuing Education credits only; it does not offer credit towards any degree program at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. The target audience for this activity is pharmacists.
