Sleep Disorder, Migraine, and Multiple Sclerosis
2.0 hour online/home study education module
In this module we will critically evaluate the available literature with medicinal cannabis in the treatment or symptomatic relief of sleep disorders, migraines, and multiple sclerosis. This module will also discuss clinical experience and hear from a patient’s perspective. Although the focus is neurology disease states, some of the symptomatology discussed is relevant to other disease states that may be encountered in the real world.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Evaluate the evidence for cannabis use in patients with sleep disorders.
- Examine use and challenges of cannabis-based products for sleep.
- Describe the evidence available for using cannabis in patients with migraine and headache disorders.
- Identify the potential future role for cannabis use in sleep and migraine.
- Discuss the use of cannabis products to treat the varying symptoms of multiple sclerosis.
- Evaluate evidence surrounding efficacy of cannabis-based products in treating multiple sclerosis
